Orange County is the most highly populated county in Central Florida with a population larger than 2,000,000. Orlando, with a population of about 250,000 is the largest city in Orange County and a hub for business and entertainment. Central Florida's major professional team, the Orlando Magic, make their home at the Amway Center conveniently located in downtown and the Bob Carr Theater is nearby and hosts concerts, plays and the Orlando Philharmonic. The area around Church Street and Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando is the area to look if it's night life you seek. Disney World, the number one tourist attraction in the world, is located in SW Orange County as are Universal Studios and Sea World. Interstate 4, which connects Daytona Beach to the East and St. Petersburg to the West, passes through the center of Orlando and all the attractions listed above are a short distance from I-4.

The Butler Chain of Lakes in SW Orange County, the Conway Chain of Lakes in SE Orange County and the Winter Park Chain of Lakes in Winter Park are three chains of lakes that offer great boating, fishing and site seeing. Orange County is blessed with two great institutions of higher learning. On the East side of the county you will find the University of Central Florida, home to the Knights. UCF is the second largest university in terms of number of students in the U.S. They feature high quality academics and athletics with all three major sports: football, basketball and baseball featuring very good teams and excellent facilities. In Winter Park you will find beautiful Rollins College. This highly rated private institution boasts outstanding academic credentials, a very good athletic program and a beautiful area in which to futher ones higher education goals. Orange County also has a great community college: Valencia which offers a diverse array of studies.
Real estate in Orange County covers a broad spectrum. If an urban environment is what you desire, Orlando, College Park and Winter Park offer a large palette of single family homes and condominiums. If a rural environment is more to your liking, check out areas like Winter Garden, Ocoee, Apopka, Zellwood and Windermere on the West, Ovideo, Chuluota, and Bithlo to the East and the Lake Nona area to the Southeast.
